This program reads a database or any other file containing telephone numbers in text form and copies it byte for byte to a new file, changing a specified area code if the prefix or regional code requires it. The original file is unchanged.

The program recognizes telephone numbers of the following forms:
AAA-PPP-XXXX, (AAA)PPP-XXXX, (AAA) PPP-XXXX, AAA.PPP.XXXX, and AAAPPPXXXX. Here AAA is the area code and PPP is the prefix or regional code. The program requires an auxiliary text file listing the regional codes for which the area code is to be changed.

Even though this is an MS-DOS based program, it will work with any version of Windows.
